Tonight it's
all George Harrison on the live broadcast of "Every Little Thing" in
celebration of the new George Harrison "Apple Years 1968-1975" box set. They'll be
plenty from the new remasters, plus Beatles, post-Apple, and Wilburys! The show
airs on 88.7 WNHU, West Haven, CT, 8-10pm (est.) Plus we'll go back a bit and
give you the chance to win the Harrison documentary DVD "Living In The
Material World." You can stream the show HERE!
And after that, watch Dhani Harrison on
Conan tonight at 11pm! (est.)
Speaking of the new box set, I got the digital download of
George Harrison Apple Years 1968 - 1975. I know the music thoroughly, and there
are only one or two things on the DVD that I haven't seen yet. The big treats
for me are the alternate takes of "Dark Horse" and the newer version
of "This Guitar (Can't Keep From Cryin'.)" I love the instrumental
bonus track of 'Almost Shankara" from Wonderwall Music which was never
used in the film, but would have fit nicely, and the alternate take of
"The Inner Light," which features some studio banter between George
and the Indian musicians on the track, telling them how he wants a musical
phrase to go. It sounds almost identical to the backing track of the released
version from the Beatles, just slightly different; with sustained notes at the
end….

Every Little Thing:
"Every Little Thing" is a weekly Beatles program that can be heard as both a one-hour syndicated show on 20 radio stations, or as a live broadcast on WNHU, West Haven, CT, Wednesdays 8-10pm (est) which you can stream at www.wnhu.net. The program is vastly different from all Beatles shows in that it features much more than their classic group recordings-all their solo-music is represented up to the newest releases, plus cover versions, side projects, novelty records, tribute songs, imports, rarities, music from family followers, original interviews, and more. Every show features unique thematic sets-everything from songs with Paul on drums, John's political songs, Piano-based songs, recordings that feature Eric Clapton, George's spiritual music, etc. All shows also feature a mixture of Beatles games and trivia, and the live broadcast on WNHU also includes the latest Beatles news.
