Waking
up today to the news that The Kills have announced a new tour and are currently
working on a new studio album. Both great bits of information but the press
seems to making it sound like the band disappeared and have resurfaced in an
amazing resurrection from the depths of obscurity.
We
thought we had missed something. Truth be told we did miss out on their 2011
album Blood Pressure, for whatever reason(s) never got around to listening to
it. (If you have and would like to send us a review we’d be happy to publish
it.)
All
this morning’s hoopla did produce the need for us to pop on Alison Mosshart and
Jamie Hince’s 2008 Midnight Boom over some coffee. Great idea indeed.
So,
take a look at the tour dates and try to catch a show and wait for the new
album to moderately smack us around at some undetermined date. Possibly on Jack White’s
Third Man Records or are they still with Domino? Perhaps you can check either or both webspots for release details.
